Dr. Inna Lokshin, Naturopathic doctor & IV Therapy Practitioner, opened the Hormone Rebalance Centre on The Eglinton Way about 6 months ago. She is an energetic individual who is ready to listen to your health needs and provide custom solution for your hormonal concerns. Dr. Lokshin sat down with Sheliza from The Eglinton Way BIA recently to discuss her practice.
The Eglinton Way: Thank you for your time, Inna. Tell us about the speciality services offered at the Hormone Rebalance Centre?
Inna: In our office, we have a clinical focus on hormonal needs. We offer four main speciality services: hormone rebalance programs, nutrient IV therapy, diet and nutrition optimization, and detox and weight loss programs. We start with an initial consultation to learn more about the patient’s specific concerns and health goals, medical history and get started them on an individualized treatment plan. We offer additional investigative functional tests if the initial consultation points to underlying symptoms that should be further explored. Most of our services are covered by extended insurance and benefit plans.
The Eglinton Way: What are some benefits of naturopathy?
Inna: naturopathic medicine is more of a philosophy to health and wellness. It’s preventive and assesses the underlying questions of why you are experiencing certain symptoms or feel a certain way.
Naturopathy is beneficial as it aims to find underlying causes to symptoms rather than simply correcting symptoms alone, and thus provides a more holistic approach to health. IV nutrient therapy -a common therapy we use for fatigue, sleep or mood imbalance, weak immune system or general vitamin or mineral deficiencies – works extremely effectively as it is customized to the patient’s needs. It works more efficiently than oral medication as it bypasses the digestive system, so nutrients remain in higher concentrations when reaching cells and patients get faster results.
The Eglinton Way: What tips do you have for individuals considering naturopathy?
Inna: Naturopathy follows the philosophy of the “patient as the doctor”. We provide services for patients who are looking to balance or restore their physical and mental health and well-being. This includes sleep, mood, fatigue, digestion, and hormones. Naturopathy can be thought of as an add-on to any any medical care you are getting as we focus on restoring metabolic imbalances and focus on prevention and optimal health.
The Eglinton Way: What made you chose The Eglinton Way for your practice?
Inna: I love the neighbourhood and think that my services compliment the area. It’s also that great midtown mixture of being accessible to the north and south parts of Toronto.
