Sculpted in black granite, this interactive art piece embodies the true heart and soul of the neighbourhood. On the one side, an enduring and elegant angel represents a heavenly and emotional compassion through the resting of her hand on her heart and her head on her wing.

On the reverse is the sole of a shoe, a playful counterpoint to the angel which connects to the earth upon which we walk. Together, they represent the strong connection to community and the possibility of finding a moment of beauty, spirit and serenity in a contemporary and fast-paced city.

Beginning in 2019, The Eglinton Way Business Improvement Association began to invest in Artwalk, a public art installation on our street. The goal over the next 5 years is to bring 25 of these art installations (sculptures, statures, murals) into the neighborhood. It will be a beautiful place to walk, learn, experience, shop and enjoy.
