Exploring the Heart is a mixed media afro-futuristic installation portraying a young afronaut time traveler landing in a dodecahedron crystal portal to explore the timeless wonders and changes of Eglinton Avenue West throughout history.

The decorative elements of this art piece pay homage to the Art Deco style of The Eglinton Theatre and also feature the national flowers of various countries and regions that represent and celebrate the diverse groups that make up the Eglinton West community.

This piece seeks to encourage people to learn more about the history of the area while being excited about its future and being an integral part of it.

Beginning in 2019, The Eglinton Way Business Improvement Association began to invest in Artwalk, a public art installation on our street. The goal over the next 5 years is to bring 25 of these art installations (sculptures, statures, murals) into the neighborhood. It will be a beautiful place to walk, learn, experience, shop and enjoy.
